I obviously think about it. And there are bits and pieces already written.
I’ve got a couple chapters of a steampunk/alternate universe thing about a con-man named Paris who is hired by Thomas Alva Edison to assassainate Helen (of) Keller, who is secretly an electro-mechanically enhanced agent of the US shadow government. Paris falls in love with her instead, and they flee, creating an international incident that hastens global war. It spends a lot of time in Nova Roma, where the Emperor has hot-n-cold running sex slaves and rules 1/3 of the world with a draconian surveillance system that his son uses to jerk off and his daughters use to control their friends. Annnnd… I’ve just never mustered the enthusiasm to push on.
Far easier to work with, I think, would be The Cult, which could handle being expanded to a couple hundred pages as we get to know each of the girls in the room. Or, as unlikely as it might seem, Goodbye the Hard Way, which I could see continuing with our protagonist being forced to return to the basement for the husk of his wife, and taking her on the run with him, on a road trip that results in her being destroyed a little more at every stop.
However… I suspect Amazon would fucking hate me.
