Depends on the context. Sometimes:
- “pretty is an exemplar of its kind” and “cute is something that could be pretty but for a crucial flaw or three”.
- “pretty is holy” but “cute is corruptible”.
- “pretty is a rare tale” while “cute is a confused story, told awkwardly, by a charming narrator”.
- “pretty is a goal, both emotional and physical” and “cute is everything you’ve achieved so far”.
- “pretty is grace and style and wit” even as “cute is small and sleepy and horny”.
- “pretty is her” and “cute is you”.
For the record: the cute ones are usually more fun, but don’t bother telling them… they won’t believe a damned thing you say.
