Being a man definitely isn’t emotionally stunting; men have created more than our fair share of great emotive art throughout history, and have cast our fortunes to the wind in the name of starry-eyed romance as often as any woman.
But manhood as it is popularly performed in contemporary Western society…? Yeah, that’s emotionally stunting as fuck; near as I can tell, the goal is to develop a pathological fear of subtlety.
Why? Because it’s easy to mistake simplicity for strength when you’re stupid.
