I’ve had followers here and there who are into power exchange as an organizing principle and practice for intimate relationships, while professing indifference to the sexuality of it all. Given how often asexual/demisexual people end up performing sexuality for the benefit of others, that actually makes sense to me… if you’re going to have tedious, mechanical sex with your vanilla husband just to keep the peace, why not have openly masochistic, submissive sex with someone who can fuck your mind, to whom your erotic response is actually a bit an afterthought?
