What is so appealing about younger women?

Is there a thin line between mentoring and abuse?

They have things to learn that I know how to teach. They inspire me. They need me. And I admire their general resistance to gravity.

And… sometimes? I mean, I don’t think there’s anything inherently abusive about an interpersonal exchange of effort that values one side’s contributions differently than the other’s… some contributors are rare, and some aren’t. Life is a marketplace.

But can a mentorship segue into something much darker if the mentor is rapacious and the mentee is, like Billy Mumphrey, a creature of unbridled enthusiasm? Sure! Where there’s power, there’s advantage. Where there is advantage, there is detente, or there is a race. Too often, the worst person wins.
