Would autism be a problem for you lol?

I don’t know enough about how folks are interpreting that diagnosis these days to have a definitive opinion… at this point, a broad array of people live under one umbrella. What I can say is this:
- An ability to read complex emotional cues —or an ability to eroticize and romanticize abject and ongoing confusion— is a baseline requirement.
- I speak in metaphors. I tuck hurtful thoughts inside glowing praise, and vice versa. I am seldom wholly or clearly anything. With that established, my gut says that anyone who spends more than a few days scrolling my blog will self-select themselves out of my audience if they struggle with that sort of uncertainty and indirection.
- I need some degree of articulate emotional expression. Obviously, I don’t have lofty expectations here… but “I don’t know” is only acceptable when accompanied by an apology and continued, persistent effort to resolve the answer.
- Other than that, the central requirement remains the same: make my life better.
