Katy Perry or Lady Gaga?
Oof.
Okay, Gaga gave one of the better Super Bowl performances I’ve seen, which I respect a lot. (She was no Prince, but who is?) And I like her hits to varying degrees… I’ve been known to wander around singing Poker Face under my breath. I’ve avoided her work as an actor, so I can’t speak to that.
Meanwhile, I’ve really liked Katy. From the moment Perez Hilton posted a link to “Ur So Gay” —say what you will about Perez, I discovered Florence Welch and “Kiss With a Fist” through him, too— I loved her to pieces. That feeling has not aged well —her Russell Brand era wasn’t great— but there’s still a lot of songs there that I enjoy a great deal.
So I’m going with Katy Perry.
