How do you rationalize starting relationships with early 20-somethings at your age? 10 years ago sure, but inferring from references you are now over 50. even if you do stay together for years, you’ll be a senior citizen when they’re 35. what exactly is the end goal?

- “How do you rationalize…”? It’s surprisingly easy to rationalize making people feel better than they’ve ever felt.
- “…even if you do stay together for years…”? It’s already been years, for each of them.
- ”…you’ll be a senior citizen…”? I’m their dad, and dads age. This is not news.
- The end goal is family and purpose and meaning and fulfillment. Turns out I’m pretty good at providing all of that.
