Not in a “oh I wish I was more like that” way… it’s never aspirational. I seldom find myself lamenting what I’m not.
When I compare myself, it’s usually to toxic shitbags who share superficial characteristics or behaviors with me… and the comparison is made so I can figure out how to be not-them.
I wish I had a good suggestion for dealing with it, but most of my advice on the subject would be something trite, like “you need to see clearly who you are and trust in what you can be.” I’m better at managing that sort of thing than fixing it.
