What is something that you have tried and liked but didn’t think you would like one bit?

A lot of things, really. I’m a fairly skeptical person, and assume I’m going to dislike foreign things.

But a big one that springs to mind? Body shaming. It was unthinkable for many decades, and felt wrong even when It became thinkable. I was very, very uncomfortable with it, for a lot of reasons. (Scroll back far enough in the blog and you can find me talking about it.)

Then I met girls whose hearts ache, tummies flutter, and pussies drip when I insult their appearances. Who crave my criticism of the smallest detail. Who don’t believe my compliments if I’m unwilling to call out their flaws. Who don’t feel love is real until it unmasks the contempt it occasionally seeks to hide.

That kind of counter-intuitive thinking is what’s hot about mindfuckery. That masochistic beings can view the world in this incredibly complicated manner just amazes me… it’s like they’re emotionally wall-eyed, seeing two slightly-yet-significantly different angles on the world superimposed atop one another. They know how they’re supposed to respond, and they know how they actually respond. And with the right man, they somehow make sense of that. They see sharper than they ever have before.

And yeah, for my part, it feels good to speak the unspeakable when you’re being begged for it.
