If you can’t take a backhand or a punch to the gut, you’re in over your head. But the vast bulk of my violence is composed of swats to the back of the head or hard face-fucking… the pain is only intense in short bursts.
Unless we’re also talking about emotional pain, in which case, yeah, you’re in for quite a ride. I’m gonna be really, really hard on your feelings… and only occasionally in an “existential dread” way. More often than not, it’ll be a desperate, aching need that feels like it will consume you forever.
(It feels like that because it will.)
