How would you recommend protecting ones personal information, and staying fairly anonymous in a setting when you’re trying to get to know someone online, during the beginning stages when you don’t know if you can really trust the person with any type of personal information or access to you?

If you don’t know you can trust someone, don’t send him anything.

You don’t send cooch-shots to a man who whines for it. You don’t send your address to a man who tries to weasel it out of you. You send that shit to a man who deserves it, who you know well, and in whose hands you believe you will be safe.

Or put another way: if he’s thirsty, make him wait. When you want to give it to him more than he wants to receive it, you’re probably on the right track.
